Checking out the Orangutans

We went to the Indy Zoo today with Grandma Nash and her friend Barry. It was so much fun and we even got to see the new oranatang's exhibit. Which the girls loved!

First Day of School

Today, is the first day of school at Cumberland Road Elementary. I had two very excited and very nervous girls. Can you believe Hannah is a 3rd Grader? And our Hope is a 1st Grader? After a special back to school breakfast they humored me and posed for pictures before biting the bullet and heading off to school. I know they're going to have a great year! I was fighting back tears all morning. It really does go too fast.

Ice Cream Social at CRES

Yesterday, was the girls' Ice Cream Social at Cumberland Road Elementary. It's bittersweet; Chad and I are now the patents of a 1st and 3rd grader. Where has it gone? Hannah tested into the REACH program and is going to be in Mrs. Roth's class this year. I know she'll just love it. We have not told her about the advanced class placement since I don't wanted her to feel added pressure or worry about this school year. So please don't say anything to her about it when you see her. Hope is going to be in Mrs. Vadas' class this year! Luckily, they each have friends from past years in their classes. So it won't be all knew faces. We're looking forward to a great year!

A day at the Shedd with Grandma and Grandpa

We had such a fun visit at the Shedd with   Grandma and Grandpa Nalevac. We had a nice lunch overlooking the Chicago skyline and the marina. We saw some very cool exhibits, pet stingrays and even watched a diver in the large tank feeding the fish. Thanks for a great day, Dad and Lyn! :)
