'Twas the Day before Christmas

The girls couldn't wait to finally open their "Do Not Open Till Christmas Eve" box from Elf this morning. It had pink bunny slippers, mugs with hot cocoa mix, peeps Christmas tree marshmallows, games, Christmas books, coloring books and a Christmas craft. They opened their last advent day and talked on the North Pole Communicator. Then Hope and I left in a mad dash to an early optomoterst appt. Her vision has not improved so we're going to start patching at home. We went to an excellent family service at Emmanuel United Methodist church where the girls played "Oh Come Holy Faithful" on bells and even had candlelight service. They loved singing Happy Birthday to Jesus after they blew out the candles. It was so cute! After dinner they drank hot chocolate in their new mugs , ate Christmas cookies and watched the Polar Express. After a quick shower, we read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and Jesus' birth in the Bible .
